I think the writing is solid, but I was distracted by the coincidences in the latter parts of the story. *Spoiler Alert* Why would the bartender just leave rather than having the chance of rationalizing/explaining the situation from his perspective and maybe even winning his prize? Also, why didn't Liz monitor the Asian throughout the night so she wasn't on the highest/most extreme settings throughout the night? In some sense, these are minor questions, but they could have easily been addressed more effectively and convincingly by the author. (8/10)

A very good story, and getting better as it goes. The coincidences/bad luck in this one seem more believable than they do in most such 'misunderstanding' stories. (9/10)
