I've come to respect Dryhill's reviews, although out of respect to all authors I do give every story a fair shake & attempt to read with a fresh mind. With this story I tried getting a feel for it first & I must agree with Dryhill...not very good. I stopped reading this story when the girl was forced to take her top off & reveal her breast & piercings to young children at a McDonald's playground. Let's have some form of believability please! (3/10)

The first we learn of the aunt's house is thus " Brooke noticed that the house was in the middle of an empty field, that was surrounded only by a couple of trees." Well it must be a small field if it can be surrounded by a couple of trees, yet the next sentence tells us it was a big house, so the trees must have been gigantic!
We are told that the bed that has been assigned to Brooke has cabinets in it. i know i am no expert on beds but i have never seen cabinets in a bed, the odd draw yes cabinets no.
The first meeting between Brooke and her aunt is described as follows "An African-American woman in her 40's was sat down on an armchair sofa, sipping her cup of coffee, on a cup and plate". Well which was the aunt sitting on an armchair or a sofa? The aunt clearly has no manners sipping her coffee from a plate ... how rude!
Brooke changes from being strong willed to being meek and fearful from one bit of arm twisting. Really!
At this point i gave up reading this piece of writing. If the author's first language is not English then why did she not get someone with a better grasp of English to proof read the story before posting it? (3/10)
