I think that, as a stage setter, it is a wonderful story. I can't wait for more... What indignities are on Santa's list? Inquiring minds want to know! Please continue! (8/10)

This is MUCH better than a '5' story. I was prepared to give it an '8' until the ending, which disappointed me. If there's supposed to be another chapter, that should've been made more clear. And there's nothing wrong with 'Cathy and I'. This story is an absolutely marvelous buildup to… absolutely nothing. Pornus interruptus. (7/10)

I was rather primed to like this story after the opening hotel rant, which seemed to mirror my own thoughts on check in. There were also a few nice ideas floating around in there, but ultimately the whole endeavour was undermined by the stilted prose which read like a catalog of facts about "Cathy and I". Next to the 5 it says "OK, but has some promis, the author could improve it". Right now it is not terrible, but it is not good. With a little smoothing out those good ideas could make for a nice little diversion. (5/10)
