Bloody 'ell, girl. I have been searching my arse off for the review I (thought I) wrote earlier (and of which I was certain that it was part of the back-up I'd made)...
It was only after I had the luminous idea to hit your name that I saw that this is a repost of "The Beginning Of My Last thoughts", but with 'beginning' switched for 'Preface'... héhé...
Well, at least I re-read the story.
And I urge you, cathy, to do the same thing --especially the very first paragraph-- and say you don't agree that the text is, to put it mildly, a tad confusing...
But, confusing though things may be, they're also intriguing, so, I can only ask of you to, pretty please, continue the story, as I'm eager to see where things will go.
